Hi robsilverton,

Thanks for this post. I have followed steps here and installed red5 plug in and it is working fine on windows xp.
But I have a problem with plugin installation on windows vista. I installed red5 plug in eclipse galileo on windows vista. It installs and red5 server starts up without any errors. I developed a sample application and when I restarts or publish it using plug in, console shows no problems.

But I can’t see the project deployed as a folder under C:\Program Files\Red5\webapps. I tried changing folder permissions of Red5 and webapps. Then I reinstalled red5, eclipse and plugin. But of no use. I have the same sample application running perfectly under windows xp. I searched for a solution but could not find anyone with such a problem.

these are the variables to set in enviroment variables:

click start-> right click computer resources->properties->advanced->enviromentvariables.
set in system variables
CLASSPATH = . (point)
JAVA_HOME=C:\Programmi\Java\jdk1.6.0_07 (for example)
PATH= you must add after the ; the path to bin directory of jre
for example
PATH=C:\Programmi\Java\jdk1.6.0_07\jre\bin;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem
JAVA_VERSION=1.6

Hi Nguyen,
I didn’t delete your comment, it required approval before appearing on my blog.
I’m afraid I’m pretty rusty at this now as I blogged this over a year ago and unfortunately haven’t really had the time to play with it more since.
Its sounds like your Java code hasn’t been compiled correctly or is located in the wrong place. I’m afraid I can’t really help at the moment as it will take me hours/days to get back into this and I’m really busy lately.
Good luck with it though.

Hi Amar, sorry for the slow reply- have been on holiday. I’ve not built a whiteboard app yet I’m afraid and I’m a little rusty at this now as I haven’t played with it for some time. Sorry I can’t be more help.. best of luck though!
